Prove where Obama's doing that
Lockheed isn't building F-16s at Ft Worth in any numbers anymore, so you get the option of going to the F-35 or a severance package. Normal actions which have nothing to do with Obama's arms deal.
You are grasping for something to bitch about.

Looks as if GE aviation will be getting those contracts now...

Not going to say, with my screen name etc it's too easy to find out my actual name. I have been in the plant in Ft. Worth.

You never worked with indians.

You conveniently left out the salient fact: quote:The “Make in India” program is supported by President Obama’s outgoing administration, which is looking to strengthen ties with India. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter on Thursday visited India and an official statement said the two countries’ continued cooperation “will strengthen India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.” A Pentagon spokesperson declined to comment more specifically on the program. So yes if these jobs do go to India, Trump will blame Obama and rightly so. FAIL TROLL
Well, this pathetic troll thread is over.

Don't blame them with Trump antagonizing Boeing through twitter. A great American company that helped win WWII, and he treats them like they're some fast food joint.
Shameless.
The spin on everything from the left is going to be so great for the next 4 years.

So when the Indian government required new jets to replace its aging fleet, any corporation that wanted to be involved knew the planes – an F-16 by Lockheed or F/A-18 by Boeing – would have to be built in India.
Sounds like a solid plan to me. I'm okay with this.

Will Trump blame Obama when they leave or take the credit because some jobs are staying like he did with Carrier?
Obama is pushing for this to happen in India as "good will" gesture. Even fricking CNN the liberal cumrag...I mean news rag said so.

Will TJGator1215 ever realize what the exact issue is in this case?

You realize that India paying Boeing and Lockheed to make jets in India doesn't mean jobs would leave the US, right?
I understand India's goal to buy shite for their military made in their nation by their citizens...would that we had been doing this for the last 40 years or so and we wouldn't see the kind of job loss we had over that time period...but are you certain no jobs would be lost in the US? Presumably these planes would be built in existing facilities by existing Boeing and Lockheed employees....take away that added work load and there will have to either be fewer new hires or layoffs.
This is not the same situation as the Carrier situation. If India insists on the planes they buy being built in India by Indians then I don't know what Trump or Boeing or Lockheed can do about that. Carrier intended to move jobs to Mexico in order to manufacture products which would be sold in the United States...in fact they are moving a heaping pile of jobs to Mexico to do just that despite the best efforts of Trump and company. What will be interesting is to see if he makes good on his 35% tariff promise after January 20.
If...and this is a HUGE if....we were not keeping Pakistan and India at arms length from one another for many, many years there is NO way that Lockheed or Boeing would consider investing ANYTHING in India...India wouldn't be in a position to have an air force in the first place because they and pakistan would be constantly involved in pissing contests and someone would have over run them and enslaved their stupid asses years ago.
Trump has said that we are no longer going to do this type of shite for free...we will see....I sincerely doubt that he will make good on that promise BUT I also sincerely doubted he would ever become a serious GOP candidate. If....and again this is a huge IF....but if Trump is sincere about requiring our allies to pay for some of the protection we provide them what better way for India to pay us for keeping Pakistan at arms length than having their new toys built by Americans in the United States? Trump could kill 2 birds with one stone....keep jobs in the US or create new ones AND ask an allie to pay for their protection. We will see. Pull that off and the Trump legitimacy goes up substantially in a lot of minds....

Or India can do what they planned on doing and buy Migs or the Eurofighter instead.

It was Obama admin which was selling these F16s to India, with the promise to shift production to sweeten the deal...
Here is the problem...and I ain't doubting this is true...but what the frick business does the President of the United States have going door to door trying to sale Boeing and Lockheed products??? Does he get a commission? Y'all want something to be pissed about think about an elected official going about shilling for a company....and imagine if it were, I don't know, Trojan Condoms. We would all be outraged.....yet we somehow accept as normal the fact that our President goes around the globe as a glorified door to door salesmen for private sector products.
And I doubt if we can survive without it...and that is the truly troubling thing...because other nations are willing to send their leaders on such sales trips.

Will Boeing and Lockheed open a call center in the U.S. to deal with technical problems the Indians encounter?
Would be fitting.
Would be fitting.
