the argument isn't as much that they don't integrate at all. they just would be on the level of "white christian male" to the progs if the progs looked at things objectively. the issue is why progs don't treat them the same
for example: attitudes on gay marriage:

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American ... There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag ... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language ... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."
This is a quote from Theodore Roosevelt in 1907
In this country especially in these strange and difficult times we have room for one flag and one country. We need much more assimilation as it is crucial that our country be one at this time.

I think absolutely complete integration is ridiculous. Even within ethnic groups that people completely accept, you still see traditions and culture brought with them.
If those traditions and culture are compatible with American culture then we can actually benefit by having that (see e.g. Ethnic food and the close family values espoused by many immigrants), but anything that conflicts with America's ideas needs to be left behind (Shariah law)

oh i agree. this is just the whole "progressive double standard" argument more than "they're going to kill us" argument. this is very similar to the discussion on white flight/gentrification yesterday. progs don't want objective standards and treat different groups differently

Absolute integration is not ridiculous. 3rd generation immigrants are historically, effectively indistinguishable.
The problem is that with Muslims, the regression to the mean with the 2nd generation involves pledging your allegiance to al-Baghdadi and the neocaliphatists

Accepting Muslims by Liberals at this point is just a reactionary force to conservatives. Conservatives start railing against Muslims and suddenly the left takes the opposite position....hmmmmm it is a cheap vote buy for them until it backfired this year.

So NOW it's important not to treat Muslims as a monolith. Interesting.
Did i ever say to do so? Remove your head from your arse. Only ones referring to Muslims as a block were you and the OP.

Even fourth and fifth generation Italian and Irish immigrants (two of the most highly integrated groups of immigrants) still retain their own distinct sub-cultures in many respects.

Nobody said anything about banning undereducated groups of people. I am addressing the point that a lot of people don't believe Muslims have integrated well into American society, and that is just false.
When's the last time a Hispanic shot up a nightclub in the US in the name of Catholicism?
When's the last time Hispanics used an archaic religion as motivation to mistreat women both physically and mentally?
Plainly put, generally Muslims are not integrating, they're simply setting up Muslim value communities throughout the US, which in turn is breeding terrorist groups.
Not only that, but they are generally refusing to report or submit information about terrorism in the US to stop terrorist attacks from happening. That is not assimilating.

CNN ripped Trump for being a racist, among a lot of other things, all during the primaries & campaign. CNN is now being sued in a class action lawsuit for.....racial discrimination. And, oh, yea. CNN did not give any debate questions to Hillary either. According to CNN.

I'm surprised that Muslims are higher than white evangelicals.

Thanks for acknowledging this. What the Orlando shooter did had absolutely nothing to do with me aside from a loose connection of a "belief" in a religion that has thousands of interpretations among 1 billion+ people.
The dude had mental issues.

A law-abiding Muslim doesn't owe you an explanation for something done by someone he doesn't even know, bossypants.
