Do you know what percentage of Muslim women in this country wear burkas?

I saw like 6 of them in Best Buy yesterday. None of them looked happy about it.

Yeah, I am.

Even though my mom was a housewife, she handled all the finances and controlled pretty much everything my sister and I did.

They had separate roles, and I could maybe see how it could be interpreted as "oppression"

As we speak many highly educated Muslims in Iran are working on the bomb so that they can assimilate my atoms with the atmosphere! There is a big difference between English literature 101 and advanced improvised explosive devices 304. All levels of education are accepted into the Jihad. CNN has set up a fake news story, don't worry about Muslim extremists they are converting from the religion of peace to science!

I usually move my cart to the far side of the isle and speed up if I see one in a burka.

CNN and pro Muslim propaganda....this is not unexpected.

Yes, you can't paint the entire group of Muslims, but a disproportionate percentage wants to do our country harm. You cannot discount that fact and it supports a level of skepticism on the part of Americans (or at least the non nieve ones).

Nobody said anything about banning undereducated groups of people. I am addressing the point that a lot of people don't believe Muslims have integrated well into American society, and that is just false.

It's just as false to say that because they have an education, they have integrated well into American society. Having an education doesn't automatically make you well adjusted.
Stupid statement is ridiculous

the one at TOSU was majoring in microagressions. He probably should have majored in Macroagreesions since he run over and got all stabby with people. Then again that is minor compared to what they usually do.

I would love to see proof that shows American muslims want to do this country harm.

i don't feel like doing the research right now but something like 26% of American muslims believe suicided bombings in the name of the allah snacker are justified. Plenty support sharia law over the constitution and 1/2 think sharia should apply to everyone. That is american muslims.

They also don't speak out against he violence their radical friends produce. Its easier to find a cop that will throw other cops under the bus for their actions than muslims that will say another muslim is bad for their violent actions.

There's a big difference between the folks who came over from Iran, etc. in the 70s & 80s and the displaced Syrian and Afghan refugees.

The initial wave was made up of college educated professionals. The current wave is not.

Oh ok. If I've offended you with anything I've said, it wasn't my intention. I haven't really personally seen any oppression firsthand. I've heard cases, but the people I've seen here have been fairly normal. I believe in traditional sex roles in the marriage, although maybe not as strongly as they seem to be in the Muslim faith as a whole. It seems the man is mostly on higher terms in the family.

The oppression I'm referring to is in the majority of countries that're majority Islamic and most definitely the sharia bound. That's basically where it revolves around. If Muslims immigrate here wanting to follow sharia law over the law of the establishment, that's where I have a problem.

It seems as the want for sharia is naturally ingrained in a good number of Muslims from how devoted to the religion most tend to be and how the religion rules their livelihood.

While in many parts of the Muslim world, women are confined to second-class status, that's not the case among American Muslims. Virtually all of them, 90%, agree that women should be able to work outside the home. American Muslim women hold more college or postgraduate degrees than Muslim men. And they are more likely to work in professional fields than women from most other U.S. religious groups.

How many of these Muslims are American born vs. immigrants? You're data only shows "muslims" and does not differentiate between American born vs. recently immigrated Muslims, unless i missed that somewhere. If that's the case, then your entire thread title has nothing to do with your "stats".

Education is not a good metric.

Osama bin Laden was extremely well-educated, was he not?

Ohio State. He tried to send as many of his non-Muslim fellow Americans to the after life. Maybe you shouldn't keep your mind so open, your memory is falling out.
