TreDavious White draft stock

Everything I've been reading on him from draft analysts have been very much underselling his value (at least so I believe). So this begs the question. Why isn't he getting more first round and top corner hype? What are some of the negatives on him besides maybe height which I don't even think is an issue since he's 5'11

Tre white is the least talked about DB in DBU history is seems. Never gets enough recognition. He should win the Thorpe award but they will give it to the Michigan kid because he's more popular

He has some bad tape out there from last year and one or two slip ups this year. There is also questions on if he is a nickel guy or a lockdown outside guy.
I still think he should be late first round and is fit for today's NFL.

Being related to Mo Claiborne probably doesn't help.

There's questions about whether he is physical enough to play on an island against NFL receivers. No team is drafting him as a nickel corner in the first round if that's how they view him.

2nd Rd maybe late 1st with a good combine

I think he is solid but not the "Lockdown" type of CB most people in here think he is.

Well for one, he's one of the top corners. Two, he played a lot of nickel (which is valuable). Three, he has shown to be a good punt returner. Four, overall good character.
He needs to kill that combine.

Not saying he doesn't deserve it but does he have his own highlight video?

I love Tre as much as anyone, but he's had some pretty bad plays over the course, on defense and as a PR. And that PR TD he had would have been a -15 yard return in the NFL. I'm purely speaking objectively with no emotion involved, I really think Tre is limited in what he can do physically on the field. But he's the leader and he's good at that, I'm glad the underclassmen are under him, but what happens when he's suddenly the rookie on the field? I honestly don't see that going well tbh. And I really, really, REALLY hope I'm wrong because if anyone deserves to be successful in the league it's him. But he's been burned a few times and had some pretty stupid moments returning punts. You can't overlook that

It's cause he is projected as a slot corner and they just aren't valued as high in the draft. I'm not saying that I agree with that or that it is right but it is why he doesn't have the hype. I personally really like him as a pro prospect and hope he ends up on the Saints.

Let the downvotes come in, but imo Tre is late second/early third round pick. He is a polished DB who can play multiple positions, but his measurables arnt anything spectactular. The only CB's that go first round are the true lock down guys who can shut down big time recievers. Tre just isnt that. However, the team that does pick him is going to get a heck of a value player, like the Eagles with Jalen Mills

NFL teams love measurables and sometimes ignore players or Overhype players because of them. As it stands, he's probably a second round corner. He can play man or zone which will help him, but he'll have to learn to be more physical with big NFL wideouts(in fairness, there are times he has been very physical. Example:the last pass Prescott threw in the 2015 matchup was to the big bodied 6'5" receiver and White out fought him)
