If Kiffin is avaible take him(he wont be). I think Gilbert will be our best option. Offense wasn't Texas's problem this year....

1. Look what he did at Texas in his first year with a freshman QB. Buechle threw almost 3000 yards and over 20 tds. The last tiger to do that was a senior Zach Mettenberger.

2. D'Onta Freeman ran for over 2000 yards this year. Think about what Gilbert would do with Guice and our stable next year.

3. He is a Briles pupil(Houston) and doesn't have the Baylor stink on him.

Not to take the shine off him but when I think of good defenses, the Big 12 conference doesn't come to mind.

my only worry with him was his issue of trying to run that stupid 18 wheeler package when it never worked.

LSU played 3 teams with a good defense this year.

It certainly wouldn't have hurt to use it more in the TCU game. Nothing else was working that day outside of running Foreman straight ahead.

No thanks. Their offense tanked the 2nd half the season.

Assuming if it isn't Kiffin give me Kevin Wilson or Chip Lindsey first. Then I would go to helfrich then maybe down to a Gilbert.

I don't get the love for art's son. Give me 1a) art briles or 1b) sterlin gilbert. Sterlin is the real deal and he would be a packaged deal with is buddy who was the oline coach. Kill 2 birds.

I'm trying to understand how I'm the only Downvote so far.

1 He coached against big 12 defense, aka no defense.

2 He ran a 2 qb system, aka no qb system.

3 That offensive unit at Texas really looked bad down the stretch, do you really want LSU struggling in November?

His passing game consists of two plays: deep shot down sideline; bubble screen.

Rather Canada or Riley, but Gilbert is very promising and I think he is a solid #3 choice.

2 QB system? Tyrone Swoopes threw a total of 9 passes all season.

Uno QB System
