for 2 mbps download. The techician who hooked me up told me I would actually get better than 2 meg, and I do, Ookla Speed Test consistently shows my connection around 3.5 meg download, 1.2 upload. After a year the price jumps $10, but sill a bargain imo. Every thing I do on the web is fast, can watch all youtube HD with only a few seconds buffering, etc. I think these super fast speeds the carriers brain wash you with is not needed by the average user, maybe those into gaming or frequent downloads of HD movies.

Enjoy your low quality video. HERE'S what you need for streaming. Your youtube video looks okay only because you're viewing it on a small screen.

I work for a local ISP and I can assure you that if we could get away with giving people 2 Mbps we would be doing it for everybody. Putting our fiber optics in the ground is super expensive.

If 2mbps fits for you, keep it. I have a wife and four kids. We need 70mbps access. YMMV.

Oh really? Last I looked my monitor was still 22". Last time I looked at a youtube HD video in full screen mode I was able to watch it in full 1080. Tip, youtube will often default your playback after measuring your connection speed, but easily changed to preference with a single click. I don't mind waiting anywhere from a 5 sec to 20 sec buffer.

I get closer to 4 than 2, that's why I'm keeping the deal.

Can you go to speedtest.net, run the test, and post a screenshot of results?
