What's the rumor about him almost getting fired a couple years ago?

Kasey Hill has been at UF for 4 years.
And he hasn't gotten any better.
One of the biggest busts I can remember.

I don't think he was ever close to getting fired. But you have to keep in mind though that until the past two years, he only made one Sweet 16 at ND in ~15 years and three seasons ago the team didn't even make the NIT. There were definitely some restless fans.
I was at the ND-Butler second round game two years ago. ND won the ACC Tourney that year and later almost beat Kentucky in the Elite Eight, so it's rightly remembered as a really good ND team, but it took OT to beat Butler. If Brey couldn't even get to the Sweet 16 with that team, it would have been another notch for the "good regular season coach, terrible NCAA Tournament coach" reputation he had. But he won that and then made the Elite Eight again last year with a team that was worse than the one two years ago, so I think he's shelved that label. It'd be interesting though if he'd be on the hot seat if he didn't get past Butler.

Jefferson was moving his feet as Allen was in the air. Bad call.

Until the last couple of years the teams have somewhat underperformed in the tournament, but besides the first year in the ACC, they have been pretty solid the last 4-5 years.

Will be curious to see how ND looks Saturday against Nova. ND hasn't played any teams yet that are NCAA Tourney locks, and now they've got the No. 1 team in the nation up next.

I heard something about it being unrelated to basketball, but wasn't sure what.
God Matt Jones has been terrible this half. Yet I am sure there will be the same greyhairs on TDD talking about his intangibles and basketball IQ

I've heard a rumor but unsubstantiated. I also don't know if it would have gotten him fired (if it's true) or (again if it's true) if the admin "knew" about it.

You look at how stacked that 2013 class was, and Billy D somehow managed to recruit the two biggest busts in that class in Kasey Hill and Chris Walker.
Andrew Wiggins
Julius Randle
Aaron Gordon
Jabari Parker
Andrew Harrison
Aaron Harrison
Noah Vonleh
Dakari Johnson
James Young
Wayne Selden
Jarell Martin
Bobby Portis
Austin Nichols
R. Hollis-Jefferson
Tyler Ennis
Joel Embiid
And so on...

Yeah Dukes got the snug cockiness back

If I'm White, you tell the defense Kennard doesn't get another wide open shot in this game.
Unbelievable how many wide open looks he's got.

Duke is just so much more offensively skilled than we are. We have a bunch of athletes but not very skilled.

Gonna be terrifying for the rest of the country when Duke is fully healthy.

Florida has played Duke as well as Kansas. I bet this will be a 4-5 seed in the NCAAs, if not better.
Only difference is Tatum didn't get to play against Kansas and today he looks like an NBA starter.

Yep and Florida has no answer for Amile. They'll give UK some tough games.
