The Louisville rushing defense is ranked 10th in the nation, better than ours. Should we be concerned or is that from playing lesser opponents?

They play in the ACC, definitely not because of "lesser opponents."

most likely due to lesser opponents falling behind early in the score and having to play catch up by passing all the time. I wouldn't place too much weight on that. UK ran for over 200 yards on them.

They play a 2-4-5, we should be able to gash them there, however I will say the only 2 teams to really successfully run on them this year had dual threat QBs:

Clemson - Watson had 91 yards on the ground
Kentucky - Johnson had 83 yards on the ground

FSU's Dalvin Cook was shut down

Clemson and Kentucky were the only 2 teams to run for over 4 yards a carry on UL, both were the only 2 that had over 200 yards rushing too.

I think we should be pretty concerned with Louisville. I thought (before the UK game) that they were the biggest threat to Bama. Good defense with a dynamic QB.
I don't know if Cook was out at all for the FSU/Louisville game but they held FSU to 171 yards on 43 carries.
I'm not going to come in here and spout that our offense is more prolific that FSU or anything like that.. If our defense can get them out of sync we should be able to win.. but let's just say.. it would definitely be our best win of the season.

Probably mostly due to playing keep up

FSU and cook were chasing a 70 on the scoreboard

LOL we are going to run all over louisville. Very similar defensively to texas am. They will have to stack the box and we will have to complete some passes. I have confidence il that our offense can do that now, just 8 weeks ago I would have said we are fricked.

If we lose to a team that Kentucky beat Ed orgeron should be fired and Alleva should be made to quit.

I think it would be in our favor to heavily rely on our running back committee for this game.
We would play the hot hand all game, keep the guys fresh from injury, and control the clock.
Ideally, id love to see us mimick what we did last year against Texas Tech.

Etling had better be able to loosen the Lousiville D with the passing game.

Want to give Louisville full respect and as much credit as possible.

But, honestly, I've watched them in a few games -including the FSU blow out- and they remind me more of a flashy mid-major than even a high-flying Pac 12. Certainly not an SEC-type team.

We shall see...
