Re Primitivo, not really surprised they are struggling. I went once and food was just ok, was expensive, and wife did not want to go back. I drive by there several times a week during mealtimes and rarely see much going on. Same thing with Roux Carre, but that is subsidized and has a different goal.

Anybody checked it out yet?

I went yesterday and thought it was really good. I had the Brisket plate with 2 ribs as an extra. The meat was all really good along with the sides (beans and remoulade potato salad). Descent beer selection also.

They were out of burnt ends, but we didn't get there until like 1:45.

It's one of a string of new places that is hard to figure out what they were doing menuwise. I went once. I think everything I had was good. It was just hard to construct a meal for two out of their offerings, I thought.
