When their controversial selection turned out to be the best team in the country?
The final results don't justify their decision in any way whatsoever. Surely you can understand that.

Confirm.
That's the word you're looking for.

I don't get how this year confirms they messed up in 2014.
They have always said a conference championship is not a requirement and is only factored in as a tiebreaker (along with others factors) if they consider the two teams equal.
Going into the 2014 Big Ten championship, Ohio State and TCU both only had 1 ranked win (OSU's domination at MSU being the much more impressive win), but Ohio State obviously had the worse loss (VT).
The final week, TCU went on to drub a terrible Iowa State team. While Ohio State obliterated a 10ish ranked Wisconsin team in the Big Ten Championship. Then this moronic Big 12 commissioner refused to declare a sole Big 12 champ.

No, justify works.
Nothing that happens in the playoffs validates their decisions one way or the other. They have no business projecting what will happen, they should only judge the results at hand at that point in time.

Non Buckeye nation is melting all around us. This is a glorious day! Even the Browns didn't post a loss on this perfect Sunday.

No they change their vague criteria every year
There needs to be a set list

This year they didn't give a shite about conference or division championships and went with the best four teams, objectively speaking. I can live with that.
In 2014 they should have left out FSU, but the outcry of leaving out an undefeated reigning champ was too much. The next team on the chopping block should have been OSU, but they decided to use the conference title game as a reason to keep them in and kick out TCU.
I'm not arguing that OSU should have been left out in 2014, but TCU should have been in the final four. Whether you kick out OSU or FSU is up to you.

It doesn't.

I mean he can't argue Ohio State, since Ohio State went to Oklahoma and beat his conference champ by 3 TDs
So now head to head matters to you faggets?
Literally kill yourself

I mean 2014 TCU only had 1 ranked win and lost to the other ranked team on their schedule. And this moron commissioner refused to declare a sole conference champion, which I think played into it quite a bit.
I forget FSU's resume that year (besides being undefeated), but I remember it being a pretty meh schedule.

Also, let's be real here. We all know that if it was Indiana or Rutgers in Ohio State's place they would have been passed over and if it had been Texas/OU instead of Baylor/TCU in '14 one of them would have got in.
Bingo

Bring back computers as a component. That the blue bloods would have an in was predictable upon formation of the committee. I'm still chuckling that Mich was in the conversation last night.

OSU was like 2 or 3 on BCS computer rankings as well?

I thought the same thing when I read his post
I'm just tired of arguing with the irrational.
It's evident the committee has no idea what it's doing, but the bracket is set.

It would be the same teams, and even the same matchups. Only difference is Ohio State and Clemson in different uniforms.
Sure, bring back those computers.

guarantee you that if Ohio St and Penn state's records were reversed Ohio state would get in because they would say they won their conference.
Absolutely!
