This felt like a good logical ending to me.

they invested way too much money for a miniseries though
season 1 was a loss leader for the "heir to GOT"

You think his sis would have married him and his soon to be not father in law would turn over his company to a dude who knows what happened to his son's death at WW? I like to think Logan got put in his corner and Willian married his sister and Logan just surrendered Delos to William

the "corporate" survivors will still have that mission

The GoT's of the world's don't come often. You can't just force that. What was the equivalent to GoT on HBO before GoT?
Posted on 12/5/16 at 9:46 am to Byron Bojangles III
that's a good question. Sopranos was definitely the first
GOT was kind of transformational for HBO
Sex and the City was major, too

Nah, Logan's dad doesn't give him the company in the end because he can't have an heir.
Pretty sure that was the point of the naked horseback riding.
Also, just realized there was an after credit scene; the snake lady might not be dead

Someone said it wasn't possible because of the mole on Williams face.
I think I was maybe the 1st one to say this. And I was quite sure he was either William or Logan, but the mole made me think he was more likely Logan(I came around a week or 2 ago). And I never said it was impossible, I just thought it made it unlikely. For a show that clearly prided itself in perfectly constructing every single detail, I just didn't understand why they would have hired an actor that caused such an obvious(though certainly not egregious) continuity error. Jimmie Simpson is good, but he's not so great that they couldn't have hired another 100 actors to give you the s a level performance without such a noticible facial feature.
The rebuttal was that in a world where they're making sentient synthetic humans. He could have gotten it removed. Of course he could have. But why was he bald? Why did he have liver spots on his head? Why did his face have more lines and crevices than the Grand Canyon? I'm over it--I don't think it was a big deal. But I don't think it was all that crazy--at the time--to think that it may more likely be Logan than William,

where was dolo in the MIB storyline prior to meeting MIB in the church
She was reliving the events with William by herself, hence the flashbacks where she realizes no one was with her.
quote:
and why was she in her "riding clothes"? that outfit change came out of nowhere, right?
She changed them before William and her robbed the nitro.

Um what do you mean by loss leader? Because the show was a huge success.
quote:
It took three years, upwards of $100 million in start-up costs, and one halt in production, but HBO’s Westworld ended its first season on Sunday as what’s arguably the network’s most successful drama launch since Game of Thrones. It’s not just that the ratings for the J.J. Abrams–produced fantasy thriller have been strong, though with each episode pulling in an average audience of nearly 12 million viewers across multiple platforms, HBO execs are extremely satisfied. Westworld also worked because it managed to generate intense and sustained buzz throughout the fall, despite facing off against the return of AMC’s behemoth The Walking Dead and the usual slew of broadcast network fall premieres. Much the way Netflix’s Stranger Things dominated the pop-culture discussion over the summer, Westworld broke through fall’s TV clutter in a big way, so much so that the writers of Saturday Night Live felt comfortable using its plot as a punch line. One season does not guarantee long-term success, but for now, Westworld is a big (and much-needed) win for HBO — one made all the sweeter by the fact that many in Hollywood were convinced the show was destined to be a massive misfire.

So in the end the multiple time frame and the one time frame people were both correct. Dolores was just alone on her journey living with the memories.

Going forward without Hopkins will be tough. Losing that character and the way he played it (perfectly) will be missed.

How were the multiple timeframe people wrong?

No, in the end the single time frame people were wrong.

Yes, I agree with this.
But to act like this show has not been a huge success and that they can't keep it going is just being negative.

Where did I say they were wrong? Dolores was living both in the current and past time frame at the same time.

you're either getting into some major leveling or you're confused what people were talking about

Dolores was retracing her journey with William. She was physically there. The interactions, William, other people, etc.. were not. It was just a mirage of the past.
