one thing that has bothered me about the move to the D.C. Area is they are smack dab in the middle of a hugely populated area. Alexandria and environs was full of people and now presumably zombies

I get the walled enclosure with nice houses and electricity/water but it's not safe and it never will be. Correct ZA procedure would be to get away from populated areas

I wouldn't have went east coast. I would have went boring..probably north west Colorado. As far as the lower 48 goes. Use mountain terrain. Chances are there is still food to hunt and natural resources in the area. Winter would be a bitch.

But the people who say things like islands in the Atlantic or Florida everglades, etc. You set up and 1 major hurricane later, you're fricked. Can't predict them coming now or the size.

I seem to remember it being discussed in the show that the D.C. area was evacuated and that's why there aren't a lot of zombies around.
