Polls have us two spots behind Auburn. The committee will have to flip flop that order. With head to head losses to both UF and AU, that's gonna be tough to do. Not impossible but tough.

We really haven't beaten anyone good enough to warrant going, but at the same time, every one of our losses have been to ranked teams and two came down to the last play. We have demolished the rest of the teams we haven't lost to since O has taken over. I'm sure the Sugar wants LSU, but it will just come down to how they rank us. Auburn has looked like shite down the stretch not getting 200 total yards of offense against Georgia or Auburn and hanging on to win against Vandy.

If the playoff rankings were still using the BCS system, you would have an argument. I think the playoff committee has more control over 1-4 than over 5-25. This is still about money, and if the Sugar wants LSU, they will get LSU.

Auburn fans travel very well and spend lots of money.

Auburn has good fans. The Sugar Bowl does love when LSU goes though because the tickets sell out, they still get hotels even though many are coming from a short distance and they party and spend money for like a week leading up to the game.

If LSU is behind AUB this week but Wisconsin wins their championship game and Clemson loses their championship game does that change the rankings? Just a thought. LSU is better than AUB and would be better rep. for SEC IMHO. Would be a shame to see Aub. In Sugar Bowl over LSU. ??

the ten they scored on us was of course the field goal and a td that should have been called back by any of three very obvious holds and a block in the back by the gumps, which, being alabama was never gonna happen.

It's Auburn bro, just accept it.

I would love for the Sugar Bowl to take us, but damn has their once rigorous selection gone down hill. For years, they have taken 2 loss teams at worst...sometimes having to take a conference champion with more than 2 losses, but a 7-4 team? That's what the Indy Bowl was for, right?
This is a bit of an enigma as this LSU team could likely play with any of the top 4 teams (and has) and is an exciting prolific draw. Still, neither LSU nor AU impress me as Sugar Bowl teams. Still, who else can they even choose from? Man, the SEC was down this year!

They have no choice in the current format.
