Miles recruitied at almost the same level as Saban

Xs and Os matter. O brings nothing to the table and is possibly worse than Miles in that regard

Yeah and Bama isn't a dynasty due to anything that O and Alleva can purchase. Bama is a dynasty because it's being run by the best head coach in the business. You can't compensate for a mediocre head coach by spending money on assistants. We proved that with Miles, and we will prove it again with Orgeron.
This is a second tier move by what is now a second tier football program. Cest LA vie

exactly

you have to have a HC who has the brain to develop a program philosophy and build that program both in recruiting and on the field. O can MAYBE do one of those and is absolutely terrible in the other. how does that compete with Saban/Bama?

But dude, neither of the top 2 coaches didn't want to come here...
What we supposed to do, kidnap them?
Get over it and get behind our new coach, or go post on the gump board...

Saban did the same thing when he came to LSU with personnel infrastructure.

A HC is only as good as his assistants. If you don't believe that you are ignorant.

Assistants are what kept Miles here for so long. If he didn't meddle then he would still be here! That is a fact!
