Why on earth would he move laterally?
Serious question and nobody has a good answer.
There is basically no chance he can screw up at bama while Saban is there, so why change.

I am totally against keeping Coach O. But, if it somehow happened, I could see Kiffin being sick of getting berated on the sideline and wanting to coach with his friend and have more freedom in the offense. Coach O would basically let him do whatever he wants.
