For the best. He shouldn't have seen the field against UF. I greatly appreciate his passion but it jeopardized his future and hurt the team

Fournette has had an ankle injury for several games yet he has played. That means his ankle injury was not enough to keep him from playing. I am getting the feeling that his interest in playing at LSU is over and he's now thinking about the NFL.

I'm surprised he didn't go just to be there for the team

Sucks how his final year ended up

glad he was still able to break the single game rushing record...although I think Guice might break it next year

Not sure how to respond to that post. Fournette was clearly nowhere near 100%. Any carry he had was taking away from a more capable back. I'm not knocking Fournete. Quite the opposite. Our coaches should have had the foresight to allow him to rest and give his carries to Guice/Williams

Why take a spot on the trip that could be opened up for someone who might actually take the field?

Plus he could visit with his daughter too.

Not his fault but what a waste of his college career.

No need to risk further injury. He's had a tough year since the injury pre-season. Hasn't been the year he and we would have anticipated. At this point the team will be ok and he just has to get back to well so he can move into the pro game.

Well, he only has two games left anyway if he is leaving. But he played last week and clearly was not close to 100% and they didn't put him in at the end near the goal line, so the injury is legit.

Fournette's transformation from team leader to diva has really been something to behold. He's gotten special treatment from coaches and fans since day 1 this season - something he wouldn't have wanted or tolerated when he first got to campus.
