It's easy to say Trump should denounce them, but I think it's probably the best move to not even acknowledge their existence. Then your words can't be parsed into whatever the other side wants them to mean.
He wasn't my choice for POTUS, but as a white male that's lived in the south my entire life, I can't say I've ever met someone that either a) was in the klan, or b) had friends/family in the klan.
The only time I've ever seen them is in a history book. Well, that and when they took the Confederate Flag down in Columbia, but that was a group of like 4 people and it was quite embarrassing to see them out in public. Not for me, but for them.
