It does a great job of telling a story but the story isn't thoughtful enough to make you feel something special for those characters.
I completely disagree and think that Uncharted 4 has an extremely thoughtful story about good ambition versus bad ambtion with terrific characters, but I understand that your opinion is your opinion.

I am a bit confused as to how you say that Uncharted isn't "thoughtful" enough and then say that you liked Tomb Raider and Doom, though.

I'm going to be replaying Deus Ex: HR. Haven't played it since it was released ~5 years ago, and want a refresher before I dive into Mankind Divided.

Was speaking to the linear statement. For me those games did a better job in making me feel something for the characters or ppl in that world.

There are multiple things about Uncharted which I find terrible. It's not one thing but multiple reasons as stated.

He likes tomb raider because it has a female character. He hates uncharted because it is 'whitewashed'. Just ignore him. He is your typical sjw liberal probably upset about Hillary still. MAGA

Rise of the Tomb Raider was very disappointing. It really isn't any different then the reboot.
