We could do a lot worse with a risky bad hire, Cutcliffe would win a lot of games w LSU talent. All assuming we strike out on Herman and Jimbo.

David Cutcliffe ain't getting another head job. He's getting up there and has had some serious health problems.

Also, there is no such thing as HCIW any more as a practical matter. As an aside, frick Texas for creating that bullshite. Now mouthbreathers suggest that shite nonstop.

You would be correct it wouldn't be the worse hire. And he will win games. He is a great QB coach.

If you look at what he did at Ole Miss and Duke, it's pretty impressive. He was between Tubberville and O at Ole Miss. Tubberville was 12-20 in the SEC. O was 3-21. Cutcliffe was 25-23. He took over a terrible Duke program and has made the competitive with 8, 9 and 10 win seasons. Tenn wanted to hire him post Kiffin. Would I hire a 65 year old coach from Duke? Nope. But if they did, the program would not fall off like you may assume at first glance. He's a good coach.
