i am. we fired Miles. found a qb and running game. just couldn't score on BAMA. which a lot of teams haven't. i don't know how we get as good as BAMA but we held them to no points till the 4th quarter. you have to realize BAMA has lost few games. the last time they lost was to Ole Miss like the second game of last year. it's the coaching. those players are coached to know what to do. to learn the game. to scout the teams. to make plays. another thing we've been getting BAMA later in the season so they are ready. But i like this year. hope we beat florida and A&M and our bowl we win. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a playoff quality team with 3 losses. It's brutal. Took years to get the perfect roster then coaches screwed it.

I'll be happy with a Sugar Bowl win.

But we were supposed to compete for a NC and were pretty much eliminated in September. Needless to say, I don't miss Les at all.

We still have a chance to finish the season strong, so yeah considering that we're playing much better than the first 4 games. We need to kill it these next 3 games, tho.

Went from Top 4 National champ contender to 3 losses, a fired head coach, and half the fans screaming for an interim promotion from the DL coach?

No im not "happy" with it.

I'm happy we finally showed a pulse against ole miss and Arkansas though.

This. It will be a long time before I can forgive Miles for this mismanagement.

For all the talk about what a good guy he is, etc., he definitely let his ego hinder the program.

I am happy with the direction that it is going and IF we win the next 3 games, I'll admit it was a good year. That said it will also go down as one of those years that we under achieved compared to the talent/experience on the team.

BAMA is mentioned like how many times in your post?

That's the problem LSU has had for 10 years. Stop comparing and start being as good u can be.

Yes I will never give him a pass for not changing the offense to suit the better of the team.

It is true. If we don't throw the ball with Brandon Harris and run it with Guice, we kick a FG beating Wisconsin (a solid W). If we have our guys lined up on the ball for that last play comping out of a freaking penalty after which Les can be seen standing with his hands extended with a look of bewilderment, we beat Auburn. Our Bama loss wouldn't have eliminated us. We would have been the ones playing spoiler (1/9/11).

Devastating. Not happy at all. Glad we canned Miles and his boy though. I love the guy but he had to go.

This was going to be our year -NC or bust and Miles fricking busted it. I'm glad he's gone but I feel that the best rb in lsu history kinda wasted his career here.

LSU is looking like the 2011 team. I'm impressed with how they pulled it together.

Not at all. It is a wasted season with a championship quality team that may end up getting Ed fricking Orgeron hired as our head coach.

We got rid of Miles and--if the experts on this board are right--we've got Aranda for another 1-3 years. So yes, I'm pretty satisfied with the way things have developed.

Now it all depends on who we hire to coach the team and how we recruit in the offseason.

Depends on the perspective. Before the season, if you told anyone we would be 6-3 through nine games, I don't think they would have been happy. After the Auburn game, if you told them we would be 6-3 through nine games, I think they'd be pretty happy.

The bottom line is that a preseason top-5 team considered a serious contender for the SEC title and the CFP is sitting at 6-3 and ranked 16th, eliminated from contention for either. That can't be considered a good season. The season has been wasted because we didn't get rid of Miles at the end of last year like we should have. On top of that, we have a controversy over who to hire because we had to get rid of Miles in September and now have an interim coach who wants the job but may not be the best man for it. All of this was completely preventable, but terrible leadership of the university failed to prevent it.

That is on King Alexander for his amateurish attempt to play politics with the university's funding. Also, it may be somewhat on Alleva if he in fact was the leak that gave time for the media, etc. to get in an uproar and save Miles, even though his basic intention to fire him was correct.

In short, it's very hard to spin this season as anything to be happy about.
