I'm okay with the book, but it should be appropriately assigned to a mature area and the teachers should know what they are assigning.

Agreed. That book is deep for a 10 year old.

They don't need to burn the books, but it is probably more appropriate for middle school and not elementary school.

He obviously followed the assignment, and it's not his fault that is the book they assigned him.

Schools are so sensitive now... it's ridiculous.

this is the issue ...

lol do I know you? or was that game universally a man maker across the south?

I bet there isn't a STQ alumni that ever thought about stomping a flag or using a taser to protect their flag so they could stomp it.

I'm outraged. Why can't a kid draw a picture of a grisly murder if he wants to

Relax, snowflake. When I was 11 my favorite books were Redwall and Animal Farm, I had seen Old Yeller, I had a collection of nerf guns, and my friends and I would play cops and robbers on the playground. I also shot real guns with my grandparents and dad.

I also played outside with GI Joe's and the green army men. They all had guns.

All the kids in his home class were assigned a book by the teacher from out of the school library, then told to write a two paragraph synopsis of the penultimate moment in the book

Was the shooting the second to last thing in the book? Maybe that's what she got upset over.

My Daughter attends a private christian school in Mesquite. After the election results the Bible Studies teacher had them watch the comments Of Mrs. Clinton and Resident Obama.
Before he showed the comments to the class, he said (I quote my daughter) he was glad that Mr. Trump won because he was afraid that white conservative men might attempt to harm Mrs. Clinton. My daughter did not agree with his generalization and politely told him that white conservative men are not the problem in this country.

I sent an e-mail to the principle about polisci being taught in Bible Studies class. The Bible Studies teacher has since retracted his statement and is awaiting a hearing from the board.

It's not just the public school system, the left will try to infect any and every institution they can.

We must oppose them at every turn.
