I don't want Fisher, but would have taken him after last season because that would have meant Les was fired. My as well give it to O and see what happens. Even if O doesn't work out, I doubt that the cupboard will be bare for whoever comes in next due to O's relentless and highly successful recruiting style.

You have to give a 4 year contract to whoever it is right? Are you really willing to give that to O at this point when he's been a head coach at one place in his entire career? He's never even been a coordinator. Take away his accent and roots and thinK about if you'd be ok with a job as big as LSU going to the DL coach at any other school in the country. He has done nothing to prove he can sustain a program for longer than 8 games in the middle of a season.
