It may get divided into Alto Norte California and Alto Sur California if it keeps importing Mexicans.
Make sure the wall covers LA and San Francisco, let the rural counties join Arizona, Nevada, and/or Oregon, and watch the industry flow back to the US.

It wouldn't triple, it would likely be a split. +2 for Dems, +2 for Reps

Depending on the split, it probably wouldn't have any Republican seats.
LA and SF outweigh the rest of the state right now due to their population.
Splitting it into two states still means each city will control two senators and both cities are heavily D.

We have talked about breaking the state up forever. 1) NoCal, 2) SoCal, 3) The Valley, 4) Give the far north to Oregon.
