Me and 3 buddies are making the trip this weekend. I haven't been and I've gotten mixed reviews from people I've talked to. Any advice from those that have made the trip?

Yeah and I'm excited about the cold weather this weekend. I know probably isn't but I enjoy watching games in the cold, it just doesn't happen often down here.

Ditto the nice drive/scenery.
The Hog fans hate us like we hate Bama.
Better hope we win - it'll be ugly.

NWA is gorgeous. Their campus is nice, very modern. Fayetteville is a cool city, and the bar scene is nice.

Still, and I've been to pretty much every place multiple times, including Fayetteville...their fans suck. Normally I don't let a few bad fans ever bother me, but their fans are seriously terrible, and I say that as someone who went with Arkansas friends around the city. The tailgating sucks, and it's going to be freezing.

eta: you're going to see first-hand that LSU is far and away their biggest rival. My UA friends are so much more emotionally invested in the outcome than I am

Yes and it's better than when the game was in Little Rock

Usually the weather is miserable up there especially when it was on Thanksgiving weekend but this weekend should be really nice.

They absolutely hate us, I think it's penis envy. I live here and wear my LSU gear all the time and get the dirtiest looks and snide remarks
Tailgateing sucks, pretty much have to do it in a parking spot, but I do. Stadium is ok. The most annoying thing about the game is that damn woo pig sooie chant they do. I'm embarassed for them when they do that shite

Beautiful place and better scenery than anywhere in Louisiana. I think it is a great town with good vibes all around. The game I went to there about 5 years or so ago (amazing Jarvis Landry end zone catch game) was the coldest I have ever been at a football game. It was fricking miserable that day

Campus is gorgeous...very pretty area. Stadium is clean and nice. Great jumbotron which ironically quiets it down because people spend more time staring at it than being involved vocally in the game.

What others have said...their fans HATE us. And I mean HATE. Its very odd and strange. They desperately want another Texas rivalry and in 24 years in the SEC nobody has really given them one so they make it us. It is NOT just another conference game they need to win to them. It's way more than that. I'm not sure how to describe the oddity of it. Eat at Hermans or Hugos. Or this place on Dickson St..Bordino's I think? Dickson is the college bar scene.

That's the only part I enjoyed 2 years ago. We got stomped 21-0. Temps were in the teens, COLD. The ride was nice.

If you'd like to see the birthplace of the Clinton Crime Family, this place is a block off campus on the south side.
