Politics at Work

How is does everyone here deal with political chatter at work?
I was getting coffee this morning and an individual, who happens to be the head of my group globally, said "I just don't know what has happened to our country".
As much as I wanted to go all MAGA in his face, I didn't.

I just ignore it. No need to gloat.

You should have said, "It defeated widespread corruption." and walked off.

You should have just said, "Yeah, it shouldn't have been that close. What was Colorado thinking?

I was dared to wear a "Black Lives Matter" T-shirt.....but, add "...but, their VOTES don't!" to the office

Not even rubbing it in anyone's face. Just nodding my head and saying, yeah, Trump may be all the things you say he is, and Hillary still couldn't beat him. The Dems shouldn't have rigged the primary.

I do not engage in it, although I really have to bite my tongue today with all the doom and gloom that is going on.

Basically the route I'm taking.

i poured a cup of coffee right into my eyes
grabbed a co-worker by the pussy
built a wall around my cubicle
and kissed 7 women (only the whites) on my way to the breakfast bar

I try not to engage but every now and then i had to put the para professionals in the office in their place with facts. Its also fun being 20 years younger than them but making more than them. I liked to remind them i don't have to wait for paycheck friday to go out to eat.

Alot of the pre 8 am folks like myself and the Project Managers talked about it but we are so busy, it doesn't take center stage. Office is pretty MAGA though.

I get in political discussions all the time. Had one last week with a partner 20 years older than I (who was initially going to vote Dem), enlightened him with facts, and yesterday, he MAGA'd.
Today, I'm just going to keep my mouth shut unless anyone wants to have a rational discussion (like that will ever happen).

My crew of 13 Hispanic men were still in fiesta mode at 530AM when they showed up for work.
2 were wearing MAGA hats.

I've heard some stupid comments this morning, coupled with their asking me about my thoughts/feelings of the results.
I simply reply, like him or not, this country could not withstand 20 years (extract W's time from the equation, and begin with whimsical Bill) of metastisized corruption, ineptitude, diplomatic naivety and fiscal irresponsiblity.
It's only four years, look at it that way, if you think he's so bad.
