The best boudin balls in the state are in BR. Ronnies.

I enjoy Best Stop's boudin balls, but find their boudin lacking.

Either way...Baton Rouge is not where you would want to try and get boudin or boudin balls from.

Billys boudin balls while great size have a horrible flexible crust

Yeah the crust is good but not very crunchy. Still the best though.

Ronnies is slightly below Scott regulars but smoked is on par and boudin balls are way better.

If Ronnies crust were on a Billy boudin ball it would be perfection.

I live in Alabama and have bought boudin from Best Stop, Don's, and NuNu's. They will all ship 2nd day. The smoked boudin from NuNu's is my favorite. I have never actually ordered boudin balls but have broken open regular boudin and shaped it into balls battered it then deep fried. Turned out great.

I can promise whomever is down voting my posts has never had Ronnies. Hell 90% of BR drives west and doesn't even know it exists or that it's the same family that runs Best Stop.

I heard Ronnie's was moving locations. Did that ever happen? This thread makes me want to go by today.

Just before Sharp.

My wife grabbed some stuff from there a couple of weeks ago so they haven't moved yet. I haven't heard they were moving though. Wish they were more central.

Their reg boudin seems to have improved more recently. I have always found the consistency to be the same as a link from best stop but Ronnies seems to be salted heavier which I wasn't crazy about. Last trip the reg boudin wasn't as salty as before.

I find the places in Scott are consistent with the Salt but the Cayenne is all over the map. Especially Don's.
