The first half of the game will be the key. Tiger Stadium will be rocking and will hopefully cause the young star some trouble.

The fans will help, but our D needs to show him things that he's never seen before...rinse and repeat

I think it's possible if the D jumps on him early and he makes a mistake and gets some negative momentum rolling. That's when DV is a weapon.

He had 2 rough starts in Oxford and Knoxville, and was able to recover.

Seen less talented LSU teams take more talented Bama teams to the absolute wire in the last 4 years.

Hurts being a Freshman is a big factor in this game. Aranda being a superb defensive guru is a big factor in this game. But the biggest factor in this game IMO is Etling and the balance he brings to our offense. If Etling hits a few downfield, it will soften the Bama defense and open the lanes for Leonard and Guice.

So here's to an unpredictable offense, some much needed momentum, a cohesive Oline, a swarming defense that forces Hurts to make plays with his arm, and a couple of deep successful throws.

I imagine Saban piped in crowd noise for practice the last two weeks.. but one simply cannot prepare for your 1st start in Death Valley at night.

I really think the second half of the game will be the key IMO. Bama/Saban are known for making great halftime adjustments. That will be the money shot.

D needs to hit him and intimidate him. If he settles in, he'll enjoy the crowd.

He needs to be made feel like an inexperienced freshman.

Also, the running back needs to be hit early in plays. Stacking pressure throws on Hurts.

If we can stop the run we will rock the house. If not, the crowd will not be a factor as that would silence all.

I think he will have butterflies before kickoff but the second he steps onto the turf he will be ok. If He gets hit a few times or gives up a turnover then i feel TS can get the best of him.

He's not real good at throwing the forward pass. He's gonna have to do something other than bubble screens and end around runs to be successful vs LSU defense.

I'm sure Tennessee was rocking to start their game. It's not like he comes from a SWAC school. The guy has seen loud stadiums everywhere he has been.

Most freshman QB's have at least one bad game their first season. He is due.

Even then...no. By this point in the season a true freshman is no longer inexperienced

Very impressive recovery against those two nasty defenses.
