When ESPN finally goes under. No more traveling circus coming to campus, no more wall to wall TV coverage. If you want to see the game, be in the stadium, otherwise you get to listen to it on the radio.

It's OK to hate ESPN AND live in reality...

Can't wait to go back to 11 am Jefferson Pilot kickoffs to watch LSU take on The Little Sisters of the Poor!
Frankly, the current TV model is great for those that don't live in the area to easily see most of the games.

Ahhhhhh the good ole days when there were maybe 3-4 games on a Saturday and only like 8-10 bowls....... Good times.....

Don't be so sure. There have been numerous articles about how ESPN is hemorrhaging subscribers.

You must be upset they don't show any NHL highlights besides the fights. Only thing worth watching IMO

Today's college football = over saturation......

ESPN ain't going anywhere... And just because ESPN is losing subscribers does not mean people aren't watching live sports in droves, because they are and people will continue to watch live sports in droves.
ESPN will, and already has, began to adapt to digital and a possible a la carte future.
Is the landscape changing for television? Sure, but that's to be expected and has been going on for years and years. It's always changing and evolving with the times.
Live sports will always demand and get a premium, because it's worth it.
The losers/victims will be Home Shopping Network, Discovery Channel, Hallmark, etc.... Not live sports.

Not to mention, the production quality.
It is funny to recall the days when it used to seem like a big deal when our games would be televised.

yea, let's go back to the 80's where almost no games are on TV.
You can hate ESPN for certain things if you want, but they provide a fantastic product when it comes to college football.

It's crazy coverage.
We get about ten games a week on TV over here even.

Sure..... I can watch college football all day long on A Saturday.. BUT I love the Bowls that have A 6-6 team vs. A 5-7 team... How exciting and deserving that must be...........

seriously....it seems like all the tv games have kinda ruined people a little. And i wonder if its had some sort of effect on attendance....and possibly people leaving early.
