I love it and agree with Ben, instead lets pay the players. Then they can pay for their own tuition, room, board, books, housing. They can pay for their own uniforms, coaches salaries, training staff salaries, rent on the stadium and arenas, utilities for those stadiums and arenas. They can pay for the ticket and security staff as well as the event planners. They can also pay their own travel expenses for out of town games. What could go wrong? And with no more scholarships needed for Football and Basketball title 9 will be CRUSHED. IF schools don't have to fund mens basketball and football scholarships any longer that means they don't have to fund an equal number of women's sports either. SO say goodbye ladies - you can thank Ben Simmons. Michael Bennett, Martellus Bennett and scores of other professional athletes for ending your collegiate dreams. Great thinking guys....bravo!

That's a stupid idea that won't change anything.

Do you think colleges can pay more than NBA teams for talent? Whatever a college offers will pale in comparison, and you're right back where you started: One and done.

The solution is for players to have options after high school besides just college. The problem with that is that the NCAA doesn't want to lose these blue chip players to a development league or the NBA for one reason - the popularity of March Madness would plummet without these hired guns.

I say frick 'em, college basketball should be played amongst college students, not mercenaries.

Thats not how any professional team works. Nor really any company. they aren'y asking to be equity partners.
