The Cubs and the Indians meet in Game 6 of the World Series tonight from Cleveland. The Cubs took the final game at Wrigley Sunday night to close the gap in the series. Jake Arrieta gets the ball tonight for Chicago opposite Josh Tomlin for Cleveland. Go Cubs Go!!!

Like moving Schwarber up in front of Bryzzo. Hopefully we get a little production out of the bottom of the order.

Joe West behind the plate tonight.
How many innings until Joe West makes the game about himself?
Arrieta 2 career starts with West HP, 13 IP, 2.08 ERA, 4 BB/9 Ks
Tomlin, 3 g., 13.2 IP, 4.61 ERA, 4 BB/7 Ks
In 2016, ranked as the 4th-least likely umpire to call a strike in MLB.

Contreras is gonna have to hold back his anger. Or he'll be tossed quickly.

I think I would have thrown Hendricks tonight and Arrieta tomorrow.
Hendricks is probably going to be the Cy winner and you have to get there. I understand that Arrieta had a no-no going through 6 and won in Cleveland. But I just feel that you get him out there 2 times no matter what and use your power guy at end.
Arrieta vs. Kluber Game 7 would be a great matchup.
That said I hope the Cubs lose tonight, since I am a Cards fan.

By the 3rd inning at worst

Hendricks would only be on three days rest, right? Maddon is all about the long game here and rolling out three studs in the last three games on full rest.

Yeah, Jake is the right man for the job tonight

He pitched what Game 3? So that would be Saturday, Sunday, Monday?
But do you go with the guy who is your best Pitcher in an elimination game or the guy that can be but has tailed off some?
I think I go with my best and keep Arrieta as my guy for Tomorrow on 5 days. I also think you go 6, 1, 1, 1 model in an elimination game.
Hendricks
Grimm
Jackson
Chapman
Then do the same tomorrow with Arrieta.
I am not the Cubs Manager, nor would not want to be, but I think you have to think short term.

Jake has only pitched in one elimination game in his career and it was vs the Pirates in the NL Wildcard last postseason

God forbid Edwin Jackson pitches in a postseason elimination game

Who then? I am not a Cubs fan but have noticed he has come in to be a 6th or 7th inning guy.
