Les Miles would be terrible at MSU

he would be absolutely terrible at MSU with the lack of talent there. It would be a laughing stock. It is all over Twitter state fans calling for Mullen to be fired and to hire miles and I can't help but laugh. basic offense with no talent would get plowed in the SEC west.

Tennessee should be On the phone with miles asap.

You are forgetting Miles's biggest strength - RECRUITING!!!
Now I am not saying he would build a contender at MSU, but you can damn well bet he would improve the recruiting their and he probably would be poaching Louisiana kids if he were that close.
No you don't want MIles anywhere near Louisiana in his next coaching gig!!! Personally, I wish he would take an ESPN gig for the next 5 years!!!!

If Tenn loses more games, Les could work there. He could recruit and it wouldn't matter if he lost to bama. The east would be a cake walk for him.

mullen is a much better coach than miles in terms of x's and o's.

Had a beer-and-a-conversation with a good friend, who's a diehard Missouri fan, and he'd love them to hire Miles. His rationale is very simple: Mizzou is in serious danger of becoming a complete nonfactor with thousands of empty seats. He thinks Miles could stop that from happening.
i guess the question, as it relates to this thread, is wthether Missouri is a better job than State and some of the other openings that might be realistic for Les.
Have a good week, Tiger fans. It's going to be a slow roll to Saturday night.

I have to disagree...you think he would recruit as well at MSU as he did at LSU?

Would be something to end up with Saban AND Miles in the West.

I think we have learned that while Miles was a good recruiter, LSU did not lose much in recruits once he left. Kids come to LSU to be at the greatest university in the world, not because of Les Miles.
I'll miss the guy but kids want to play at LSU. Those kids don't want to play at MSU

State has the 3rd lowest paid assistant coaching staff in the SEC. He'd have to actually coach something.

Lol yea maybe some 3stars from LA. Recruiting LA with LSU on your shirt is a lot different than recruiting with MSU on your shirt.
The reason Saban gets a couple guys is because of previous relationships and he coaches at freaking Alabama, the most successful program in the history of CFB

Which has little to do with the quality of play, but more with the way the university handled BLM.
