how? being an interim coach is all about motivating, which O is great at, but the responsibilities of an interim coach pale to that of a real HC
it is nothing like being a HC, where you have to recruit your own players, hire your own assistants, manage the entire program, etc
interim coaches have no pressure to succeed, head coaches do

O wants to succeed because he loves LSU. He is a great motivator and recruiter. The players and fanbase are excited again.
