It is pretty funny when average people talk of war.

The average US citizen can't run 100 meters without collapsing. Much less do anything as physically demanding as fighting a trained military. The average male can probably barely do 10 pushups.

Fighting a war isn't like sitting in your deer stand and dragging your trophy out on a 4 wheeler.

People have these delusions of grandeur. That they will somehow rise to the occasion. I look around and see a bunch of overindulged weaklings all over the place.

War is not like the movies. All your plans about how things will go will evaporate when the first shots start flying.

I think you underestimate what people are capable of when their families' lives and homes are at stake.

probably true. but us old guys would hide in a hole and try to take out some knowing that we are about to be fried. Just the sound of a artillary shell going off near me and they wouldn't want to touch my mess-covered body.

This is true. Guess how I know you're "average people."
