I tried to shop 2 local banks....one lady basically didn't even want to talk to me because I didn't have the cash on hand at that exact moment to put 20% down....didn't even want to know what my financial situation was outside of that fact.

The other one's didn't call me back after my initial request for information....if you don't have time to call me I guess you certainly don't have time to service my loan.

I wonder about these damn local places sometimes. It almost feels like that if they don't know your last name then they don't want to deal with you.

went with a small-ish company that immediately sold off to nationstar.

when refinancing, nationstar was essentially at the same price as everyone else, so i stuck with it as the service has been fine. apparently not the case on the lending side as it was a miserable process, but now that im just on payment its back to normal quality
