Older fans help me on this please. I don't recall a LSU home game ever starts this late.

With the recent leaving early tendency, the stadium could be empty by the 4th quarter, which should be midnight already.

I believe it was Jimmy & Charles earlier who said it was the 2007 season against VT and Auburn.

When Texas A&M played at Tiger Stadium and Hodson's first game as a starter the game was like 8 or later and I remember getting back to Marrero like 2 AM or so. I think that was like 1986 or so. Did not matter because LSU kicked their butts!!

2010 vs. West Virginia was 8 PM on ESPN2.

I recall quite a few the last couple years. I know VTech was real late. I also remember in college going to an 8pm start and getting to Tigerland after midnight.

Not sure, but I think all home games started at 7:30 or 8:00 until Bob Brodhead (AD) changed it to 7:00. His reasoning, it would allow the eastern US news centers to announce the results prior to the ending of their news/sports programs. Thus giving more exposure to the program.

Parents told me back in the day that all games started at 8:00.

We've had a number of ESPN 2 games at this time before. We just haven't had one in a while.

Thought there was a Miss St game that kicked off at 8 not too long ago. For someone who doesn't get to go to the games and watches at home, I don't like this late kickoff. 6:30 is the sweet spot for me.

Back in my undergraduate days - late 50s, early 60s, all the home games started at 8:00 pm. Didn't have all the tv timeouts so the games finished at a reasonable hour and we could go party.

Regardless of start time, who we are playing and how the game is going.

Could have sworn I watched Patrick Peterson pull a Heisman pose in front of the student section in person.

I remember a few years ago when everyone was bitching because we didn't have any night games. Guess what...people were leaving early back then too.

Sep 25, 2010 vs West Virginia at 8pm on ESPN2.

LSU 20
West Virginia 14

LSU fans will bitch about anything.

"I hate day games."

"I only like night games."

"I only like night games that start at 6pm."

Here's a concept: How about being grateful that you get to watch LSU vs Ole Miss, a great rivalry, whether the kickoff is at 11:30am or 8:15pm?

When it was a golden time at LSU from the mid 70's to the mid 80's no one left stadium unless it was the opposing team. And yes I sat there with my friends during the Miami arse kicking monsoon game etc...Alleva or whoever have screwed everything in TGBFTL !!!!
