Assuming the rumors coming out today about LaMarcus Aldridge are true, I'll eat crow and say Boom was right this time

What ya hearing homie?

He apparently has a shot at being traded this season.

wow trade rumors from the Spurs that's not something that will go over well with the sensitive Aldridge.
May as well go ahead and trade him to Boston now for Jordan Mickey, Terry Rozier, and Jaylen Brown.

It's all conjecture at this point.
I'll be shocked if it happens, but if there was ever a franchise willing to ruthlessly trade away prime talent for long term goals, it would be the Spurs.

Mostly speculation on local sports radio but hinting that he's unhappy with his role. Likely wants to be the lone focal point of the O instead of splitting time with Kawhi and/or tailoring his game to mesh with Pau.
Nothing from the Spurs' organization (predictably), but if that's the case, he can GTFO with a quickness. He hasn't gotten over himself.

Exhibit A: Stephen Jackson
Twice.
If you're not willing to become a cog in Pop's machine, you don't belong in the 210, plain and simple.

Spurs are calling the rumors cray cray.

I could see it happening for this reason(s)
He's not happy supposedly
They give up more points when he's slotted at C and Pau isn't a C really
They can get a good return on him but not sure what else you're going to give up.
Now who in the East wants LaMarcus?

Which makes absolutely 0 sense. Is LMA's goal in the NBA to put up gaudy numbers on a 2nd round exit team and never win a damn thing in his life? Because if you're name isn't LeBron James, and you aren't in your early-mid 20's then that's your ceiling.

You know better than to listen to 'trade rumors' when it comes to the spurs. The Spurs GM office might as well be built under 10 feet of fortified concrete.

Idk what he thought he was going to be doing in SA then?

If taht is his goal, he would have never gone to the Spurs.

If there's anyone willing to trade and fits the cap and talent same I think you do it.
But again I'm not sure you can get equal talent and the JJ's have to have a C which makes losing Boban hurt even more now.

Yep. He wanted to take a team role for the greater good.
Watching Portland reload the way they have, I wonder if he has any regrets

Maybe he thought he could change Pop's mind.

I'll wait until it comes from somewhere besides Boston before believing it.

I thought Stein reported it earlier this month and Jackie Mac just threw it out again today.
As much as she disgusts me, she has some connections with people.
