Ok then somebody needs to explain to me how LSU isn't getting fricked on this deal.

I choose to interpret Foley's comment about LSU not being a partner in the discussion regarding the rescheduling of this game as meaning "Nobody asked for LSU's opinion and nobody cares"

I'm sure UF has to pay Presbyterian their buy out too. It's a wash IMO

LSU was fricked on October 1. All we could hope for after that was the best deal we could get.

No resolution was going to make everyone whole.

All things considered, this was a good deal for us and hurt Florida the most. They now have to play us in Tiger Stadium..........

Some posters act like toddlers who have some blocks around them and look around and see some other kid with blocks and start crying because they want those blocks too.

Prioritize the details of the deal and perhaps you will see it differently.

We keep all our home games. Great for our economy. We really need that this year because of the floods.

We play Florida in BR. More fans will show up and spend more money.

And our home town fan support will be thru the roof!
Just what the team needs in November.

Everyone's getting it a bit in the arse on this one. However, Florida is taking the worse hit as they are giving up a home game, which was probably insured and while they might not get a full pay out they'll get something. Florida is losing a few million over losing a home game and about a half mil over buying out their game. LSU will lose about 1.5 mil over their buyout. So while it's not a perfect situation, it's not a perfect world, and is probably the best solution that could be brought about. In addition to the buyouts, I am sure that some other concessions will be made to the two smaller schools at some point in the future in terms of rescheduling a money game against their original opponents.

No one can, because we ARE getting fricked in this deal. And made the villain all at the same time.

Screw those crooks in Gumpville. Sick of this conference.
