He left the game and I think came back in for a play. Maybe both ankles are an issue?
Yes, he hurt one ankle before the season started. Tried to play vs. Wisconsin but it was clear he wasn't healthy.
At the end of the Auburn game, he hurt the other ankle. Listed as a contusion. He had swelling that night and following day. It would take a few weeks for that to heal.
He had a high ankle sprain before the season started and those take forever to heal.

Of course he ran Fournette into the ground.
Glad to see you spread your stupidity equally between tRant and the SB.

Or you let the best player in CFB play as much as possible

What good is having RBBC when you have someone as talented as LF7
you think LF is better at 80% than Guice at 100%?
Do you think it is fair or in the best interest of LF to run him when he is banged up and you have 2 capable back ups?

Except that his injury has nothing to do with the number of carries he had....
And no, giving a player ~25 carries is not "running them into the ground". Running someone into the ground is giving them 30+ carries imo. Herny went over 30 carries 5x last season and over 40 twice.

I think it's close.
Wait, are we now saying that LF7 was run into the ground this year? The only games he got significant carries in are games where he looked a lot healthier than 80%.

I don't know the extent of his injury or how the risk involved with it. The only game that he was truly a workhorse (and that is still a stretch imo) was the MSU game.
He certainly hasn't been run into the ground in 2016. That's ridiculous. Les would still be coaching this season if he "ran him into the ground" against Auburn

2016 Rosters
7 quarterbacks on the roster.
And Anthony Jennings just transferred out.
Is it just a run of bad luck for LSU?

Did Miles run Fournette into the ground?
Miles ran the joy of watching football into the ground since Jan 2012, he stayed 5 years too long.

Auburn was aiming for his ankle on every tackle. They continue to teach their players to do everything they can to seriously injure their opponents. No different than the Spaz Ramsey days. They DGAF if they ruin a kids career or not.

LF 67 carries, Guice 10 carries...that's ridiculous!
That is not how you keep your star healthy and fresh. The first 4 games were the easiest 4 game stretch on our schedule. LF should have been given more rest in Wisc and MS games

Yes, just like saban did Derrick Henry last year.
Oh wait.

Wisconsin was twisting his ankle also

Guice wasn't capable of ripping off some large runs when LF takes a breather? I see defenses let their guard down all the time when the star goes out.
Less carries would not raise the odds that LF would be healthier right now?

Yea, I know for a fact that's false given that we actually sat him for a game

Probably why he only played in 3 of them. And he looked great and healthy against MSU besides his fumbles.
So the actual # through the first 4 games is LF7 67, Guice 29, and the rest of the RBs 16.

Yes. He did.
By scheme, substitution practices and self made necessity.

so subtract what? 10 carries?
would it have made a difference?
or did you want a 50/50 split with Guice?

I mean we're really bitching about a 23 carry game?
Guice came into the Wisconsin game and fumbled on his first carry. Not a great way to get the ball more
On both his "injuries" during the season, it was a final drive (gonna 100% be in on those situations) where the defender's helmet hit his ankle. This is silly

hell no and anyone saying he did is an idiot.
he got a high ankle sprain for gods sake. you could do that on your first carry. look that injury up. most athletes continue to play on it for the remainder of a season and yes, it bothers them all year. we are trying to get him 100% healed but that may not work unless he sits the entire season. in retrospect we probably should have not played him at all after he got the injury and he'd already be 100% but second guessing is ALWAYS a hindsight thing.

Yes, it was reported that he injured his other leg against Auburn.
