Big Papi. You were larger than life on the field and even bigger off. You represented everything that is great in baseball and America. I will never forget 2004, 2007, and 2013. In baseball, when the Sox were up against the wall, facing tremendous odds, you found a way to lift everyone up. When a moment came after a cowardly attack on American lives in Boston, the country watched as you again were asked to lift everyone up and declared to Boston and American's everywhere that, no one dictates our freedom. There will never be another player like you again.

I am long since over the PED scandals and such. Couldn't really care less these days. I like Ortiz. Ortiz seems like a decent enough guy and the other players in the league seem to respect him.

The PED thing was blown way out of proportion in regards to Ortiz. He's 40 and just finished his career with a 38 homerun season. The greatest DH of all time. Im going to miss watching him play.
