Monumental? No. But very, very impressive. Michigan looked really, really bad (by Michigan standards) before Harbaugh showed up, and the recruiting had taken a major tumble as a result. It is very similar to the situation Meyer walked into at Florida, and people seem pretty impressed with him.

Yes, similar because Florida still had players for Meyer, too. If there is one thing you can't ding Zook for, it was his recruiting. They also just needed competent coaching.

Harbaugh is a fine coach, but I'd like to actually see him win something before fawning over how impressive he's been at Michigan. Win in East Lansing. Win in Columbus. Hell, win the conference since they haven't even done that in over a decade.
