quote:

That is just a polite way to say we should allow ourselves to be steamrolled. UForfeit did this by design. That was obvious from Tuesday afternoon on. We gave them seven options. Their response was "The game will be in Gainesville. Period". When you are irrationally intractable, you have to pay for your insanely self-interested rigidness.

That's not going to happen. You can be emotional and and unrealistic about this if you want. In reality, a decision has to be made that works for us and the league as a whole.

The game is going to be played. It's just a matter of when.

And of course what "works for the league" entails LSU making unreasonable concessions that are not in our best interest while preserving UForfeit's ability to steamroll LSU and cover the SEC's incompetence.

Here's a truth you need to come to grips with. If you incentivize the SEC to frick us in the arse by not exacting a price for their corruption and fecklessness, don't be surprised if you get even more of it. Which is what we have now. This would only happen to LSU.

The correct approach IS to bring a little emotion to it. Draw a line in the sand. frick UForfeit and frick the SEC office. It's either October 29 or forfeit. Let them take the hit.
