Need some help pricing a boat (sailboat)?

I don't know anything about sailboats but, I wanted to know how much this boat would go for? I have zero knowledge about anything on inside or about this boat. It was offered to me by a friend.

You have heard the saying, if it flies, floats or fricks, it is cheaper to rent. Well a sail on a boat really ratchets that up...

The thing with sail boats is you might have a nice looking hull, but still need 10k+ in rigging and sails. You need a pro on site to look at this if you dont want a money pit

Go to Yachtworld and search for the specific boat type and see what the price range is for this boat. You will also need a certified inspection. Lots of questions would come to mind. When was the last bottom job, any blisters in the fiberglass, what condition are the sails, rigging, motor, wiring...
A center cockpit 25' boat is pretty rare and that rear berth is going to suck. If you want a bay cruiser, look at a 25' Catalina with a rear entry transom (Sugar Scoop). You will enjoy a boat that you can get into and out of the water much more.
Edit: That boat is too big to trailer, so you will have to pay for a monthly boat slip also. So, $350-600 just to keep it floating all week so you can use it every other weekend.
I would not by a center cockpit boat less than 35 feet. 40 feet should be your magic number, because that is usually the jump in slip fee pricing.

Probably because he doesn't want to pay the 10K+ to rig and 10k+ to sand, repaint, fix blisters, etc the bottom.
Cheaper to give it away.

Priced a slip, out of water bottom inspection, dock fee's (electricity -etc), regular bottom cleaning, insurance... both general and for when you run her a ground, and able to drop everything (to move her) with every big storm (safe harbor's cost more)?

There is nothing FREE about any boat.
