I haven't found one negative and I've been trying to. Lack of experience is a concern but it's washed out by everything else

Give it time. As soon as he steps on campus, The Rant will find something wrong with him. I assure you there will be a few calling his wife ugly.

What happens when you do that and he chooses Texas? Sometimes you gotta go with the cool 8 to live your life with (Jimbo) as the 10 will cause you problems.

I like Herman, probably the best option LSU has. But definitely a 180 in coaching philosophy. With the talent that's already in place it could be scary.

Give the guy 6 million a year. I would also put a clause in his contract that he becomes the highest paid coach in the country if he wins a Natty. Also buy a 10 year annuity for 10 million. If he is still here after 10 years he gets the 10 million if his winning percentage is over .750.
This guy is all business and is a winner. I have no doubts he should be Joe's top target and I wouldn't let him tell me no. Give the guy whatever he wants.
