Les was not worse than any other major program coach with his off-field discipline.
Lots of things to knock on Les for, that isn't one.

Dont downvote the messenger. I think this gives insight into how the perception of Miles is different between fans and people inside the program. Maybe Les has had things covered up. Maybe just a booster trying to save face by slighting Miles. May just be a hack radio host trying to get twitter followers. Who knows.

I think this guy is making that up and if a booster really said this, he needs his nuts cut off. Miles is a classy guy, Briles is a piece of trash.

For good reason at the moment. That may come to pass, but you simply cannot hire him this year.
And even if you could, I've got reservations about a 60 year old coach. Sure there are exceptions, bit I'd prefer to go in a different direction.

who knows. we do know les has had problems his whole tenure with ON the field discipline but we have not SEEN too much OFF the field issues. or have we? probably not compared to other schools.

Briles is not on the list because it would be a PR nightmare and whether right or not, his name is toxic.

That is such an absurd way to word it. Should have gone like this:
Ian - "Is Briles on the list?"
Booster - "No, we believe Les had discipline issues, so we're not going to replace him with someone who is much, much worse in that department."
Suggesting that Miles and Briles have comparable discipline issues is preposterous.

Paul Finebaum said on his show yesterday that Art Briles will never be the Head Coach of LSU. Because the LSU Board of Suppervisor's will not let it happen.

The text didn't say it was necessarily off field discipline. Could be on field discipline. Because miles definitely had problems with that. Every game of every season.
