I have 0.

1. We may have won the game and been cheated out of it. Now nobody is going to talk about that; Alleva didn't even bring it up.
2. Unless it's something really bad, you don't fire your 11-year, multi-championship-winning coach midseason - you do that after the season is over.
3. Our goals are still in front of us, and with the talent we have you can't put it past Les to turn things around. Especially when we've found a really effective QB.
Edit: my bad, this applies to MILES
Alleva can gtfo

This couldn't be discussed in the other fire Alleva thread you made?

????
It was talked about a lot actually, and there were multiple reasons LSU didn't get screwed. First reason being they weren't even set when the ball was snapped.
Did you bury your head in the sand after the game?

Miles got paid millions. This idea that LSU should sacrifice it's interests for the sake of one person for no reason at all makes no sense. Miles coached, and LSU compensated him. That's how it works. All of that other bullshite isn't apart of the deal. Miles didn't get screwed, he got paid in full, and still will be paid in full.

They have football performance clauses in contracts. They don't have to do something morally questionable to get fired.

Have to fire both a king and alleva. But yeah.
He has been kiss of death. Pretty obvious if you read between the lines on what players are saying, why they are tweeting, what coaches are saying, what former and current coaches are saying outside LSU.
It's clear that alleva causes all sorts of bad karma throughout all the different athletic departments and the only reason we have sustained the football we have is les took it and shielded everyone completely from it and just ignored alleva. Some will say that ignoring him cost him his job. However you have to ignore someone you don't respect. It's just human nature. No one respects alleva in athletics. Did anyone hear what Chavis had to say about the firing? Chavis isn't really bitter; many of the other coaches have said the same. Nick Saban hit the nail on head by simply calling it a douchebag move. He's specifically calling out alleva. All the coaches talk to each other about their AD's and booster idiots and whatnot.
In summary the football program will not be successful under alleva and he has to go. We may win out under oeaux but only because he won't take shite from alleva and will shield players like miles did. Once oeaux is gone or demoted and the new coach is in you will all feel the full burn of alleva. He's just kiss of death.
Not to mention he destroyed people's lives at Duke because he has no fricking backbone-- which is why miles never respected him-- and we had no business hiring him in first place. If you look carefully at the program, alleva is why we are where we are because and coinciding with alleva.

Im intrigued to see how he does with this hire. I mean he has literally never had as high profile of a hire ahead of him as he does now, Duke sure never had to go hire a basketball coach. His mind he's gotta be thinking this is a defining moment as an AD and he's basically already fricked up everything he's had his hands on so frick here we go

We need to clean house of Alleva and Alexander. Period. No brainer

Starting to feel like Alleva does not mind making changing but his hands are often tied by Alexander or friends.

Of course, but football performance firings should take place after a complete season.

1. Tiger Stadium looks better than it ever has... Drastically better.
2. Hiring a new AD would inevitably prolong the HC search because new AD would be hired before proceeding... We don't have the patience as a fanbase for 2 searches.
3. Alleva has been trying to give us what we wanted (Miles gone) for 2 years, and whether it was his call or not, it finally happenned.
I'm not for or against Alleva. I do think Alleva gets a lot of shite for really no reason.. An AD should be judged on $$$, brand awareness, and football hires. He hasn't even had the chance to make a football hire yet. We're healthier than we have ever been as an athletic department when it comes to money and brand power.
I guess you could say his basketball hires sucked, which they have, if you care about insignificant stuff that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of an athletic department in the SEC.

basketball is relevant
Imagine the brand name if we had 3 elite teams yearly as opposed to generally 2
Basketball has all the place in the world to be a top 20 team more often that not.

1) fundraising
2) Every hire, save jones, has been outstanding on paper at the time they were hired. There just any disputing that.
3) The athletic department has been in the black not in the red. This is ultimately his Job.
4) He's updated the facilities. You can see where the money has been spent.
5) He wanted to and ultimately fired a coach when it was time to fire les miles. (not an easy thing to do with a successful coach)

This. I'm not sure how Alleva is being cast as the bad guy in all of this. He seems to be looking out for LSU's best interests.
