This. And, he said in the Presser that he did not delegate enough. First time HC and he wanted to be involved with EVERYTHING.

He now recognizes that he has strengths and weaknesses and delegates to coaches to do their jobs and hold THEM accountable for results.

He got Mike Wallace, Greg Hardy, the Jerrys, McCluster, and Oher on the team for Houston Dale Nutt to benefit from. Cut didn't leave much talent behind, and O was kind of insane at the time.

Coach O has always been known as a very good recruiter. As I recall, he recruited good talent to Ole Miss. Cutcliffe left the cupboard pretty bare for Coach O. Coach Nutt won immediately w/ Coach O's players, but ala his experience at AR, he could not maintain a winning program.

Coach Cutcliffe
2004 4-7, his last season.

Coach O
2005 3-8
2006 4–8
2007 3–9

Coach Nutt
2008 9–4
2009 9–4
2010 4–8
2011 2–10
