Les, just hire the guy already. Sheesh. Hope Michigan isn't after him.

Tenuta will be Tech's interim coach through the Humanitarian Bowl against Fresno State Dec. 31. Johnson plans to have a new staff in place by Jan. 2.

Yeah I know, but shite, doesn't mean we couldn't have made the hire by now. Maybe I got too excited when Les mentioned him during SECCG weekend.

How can you not hire an Interum coach, yet leave a Departing HC from a BCS conference on staff to coach your Defense?

I suspect they have an agreement in principle, but LSU and Les are waiting to announce him until after the title game because there is some rule or some shite about a number of coaches on staff. I could be wrong, but from what I understand, LSU would have to let go one of the coaches on staff if they officially hire Tenuta eventhough Bo won't be around after the game and Les probably doesn't want to do that.

Belowpar probably knows more than he lets on and doesn't want to tell us for obvious reasons and rightfully so.

hmmm, that could be it.

But, seems like they could announce The Plans to hire Tenuta without formally putting him on the payroll.

I'm wondering if Tenuta is up for the SMU HC job or something. What else is more attractive for him that is left to be filled?

I don't know. But, you'd think Les would have his guy by now...

I wouldn't be surprised if Les had an agreement with Tenuta to follow him to Michigan before all of that stuff happened the week of the SEC title game.

I'm sure he and Les have an agreement I'm not worried. would be cool to bring in him as an advisor for the game. probably not legal though

You just haven't heard him being interviewed for any other jobs other than when he interviewed for the GT job or being rumored for any other jobs really other than the SC d-coordinator spot, but VanGorder got hired there.

Alot of things just kind of point to him coming here.

I doubt yall will pay the money considering you just bought all the assistants out, helping RR with his buyout, and paying RR a decent amount of cash.

A move from atlanta to BR is more likely than atlanta to ann arbor

i would have thought that except i NEVER thought Bill Martin would allow RR to fire then whole staff, they may back the truck up and hand tenuta the bank.....but i doubt it...

There is a rule, but you can get a waiver. Arkansas got one for Paul Petrino. Paul is recruiting for Arkansas only.

Basically, LSU would just have to prove that Tenuta isn't coaching and Pelini isn't recruiting for LSU.

That's the exact same thing I said the day of the game. I hope it works out for Tenuta to come here either way.
