I don't think people are concerned about him choosing to stay at UH over LSU. I think people are concerned with him choosing to go to UT, ND, or USC over LSU.

UT, yes. ND, no. ND is not firing Brian Kelly. He is not even on the hot seat. U$C? Maybe. We know Helton's days are numbered, but I'd see U$C going after others before Herman. And he doesn't strike me as a guy who'd pick the left coast over anywhere in the south where he has tons of ties now.

LSU fans will be watching the Red River rivalry with some interest this year.

Don't really see UT shite canning Strong at the end of this season.... Brian Kelly isn't going anywhere at ND...he has at least another season.... With USC being in dumpster fire condition right now, I think it would be an easy choice between USC/LSU... IMO

Right now, LSU is his best chance at winning national championships. In three years, Saban will be gone and Herman could be the king of the biggest, baddest conference in CFB.

UH may or may not be power 5 and still has to compete with UT, AM, and LSU for recruits.

UT is a rebuild job

USC is a rebuild job

It's a no brainer.

I don't think UT will be open. The Big12 is a dumpster fire and I think the Longhorns will win a lot of games. Should be a good measuring stick this weekend against Oklahoma St.

This is where being the first to the market has an advantage. Others will wait, and Herman may risk losing a great opportunity just for the sake of trying to have options. LSU should act like they plan to have it tied up before everyone else starts firing, and not wait for someone to see all options and hope they "pick" LSU.

Time to play poker and force some action.

He's not going to USC or ND.

Texas is only threat to LSU....and I like our chances.

Will Texas take applewhite back? Because I think they go wherever as a tandem.
