repeat it often enough and people will believe it, but I've seen no evidence of this. Ole Miss only got worse with his recruiting. If you consider good recruiting to mean getting once highly touted recruits to transfer to your school, or awesome DL who can't read to equate to good recruiting, they I guess I he's a good recruiter.

There was a lot of smoke bout illegal recruiting under Oregron at O.Miss. A LOT. We do not need that type of coach at LSU,and, even better, Coach Miles will never hire him.

You make a good point. Perhaps USC made him, and it's not that hard to convince blue chippers to play at a top program in sunny southern California.

I would riot. But, fortunately, he won't be hired.

It would be hard to accept him at LSU in any capacity after all the negative recruiting he did against us. He burnt the bridge, the shrimp boat, the nets and teds in the JM deal last year.

The only guys I think he really recruited who wouldn't have gone there otherwise were Ben Jarvis "I've got too many names" Green-Ellis and J. Snead and maybe M. Tillman.

I think any other coach could have brought the other guys he recruited into that program.

Stevo, you are the smartest man alive! I've been tryin to tell the red & blue kool-aid drinkers around the Memphis area the same thing since he was hired. They have gotten much worse with his recruiting, but I just get railed because I'm a MState guy. Oh well, I guess they see now, some do anyway. Listening to some of the talk around here now, Nutt is gonna win the national title within 3 yrs. Nutt is for sure a BIG step up from coach naw naw, but naw naw dug him a big ol' hole to get out of! Have fun boyz, we sure did diggin out of our hole!

I think Brylle Cream Tommy Tubby promised them that same thing years ago. Seems like every coach that moves to Oxford gets a warm fuzzy feeling like they can actually accomplish something up there. With the exception of 2003, it hasn't happened in quite a while.

Oregron made note several times during the offseasons that THE biggest problem O.Miss faced in trying to compete with the major programs in the conference was funding. With a 55-60,000 seat NEWLY renovated stadium, O.Miss cann't compete financially with teams having stadiums of 92,000 to 101,000. Add to that the competion from the 2 other in-state schools, and there just is not enuff money to go around. Nutt may make O.Miss more successful, but I just cann't see them being competitive year in year out.

Yeah, and the sad part about that is I work for, and also know several boosters for Ole Miss and they could do better than that if they wanted to.
