I have uverse but no tv subscription. Just a Digital antenna.

Interweb said something about needing a provider. Can't I just pay to get an ESPN package streamed on my ROKU?

Does anyone just watch Digital free tv and or pay stuff like Curiosity Stream over their ROKU?

Think you meant to click on Tech Board, right under O-T Lounge.

can't pay for an ESPN package "a-la-carte". best course of action would be to either stream it via a bootleg website, or go with Sling TV.

I get espn and espn2 via roku. I think it's $15 or $20 a month for the basic package which includes espn and espn2. They have an option to add the sec network with some other sports package for $5 more

Edit I have sling TV on roku

Don't get sling tv, it's choppy as hell and more expensive than PlayStation Vue which works on roku and Apple TV

PlayStation Vue is the best, especially on Roku.

Don't do any of that. There's a much easier way. Roku is the only way to go.

I've got a ROKU. What is this much easier way? Sling or Play Station View has been recommended.

Is there a better way.

PS sorry I'm on the wrong board.

PS Vue in Roku has been pretty dependable for me. Plus I think you can use your login credentials on your mobile devices.

Correct, but if he's gonna be the only one watching sling will be $10 a month cheaper to do the same.

i would say Sling still works better on the Roku. But I prefer PS Vue. I just think PS Vue has a ways to go to catch their Roku GUI up to the GUI's on the other devices they support.

Yeah, yeah......i'm an idiot. i don't know what i'm talking about. blah blah

I sent you an email yesterday. Maybe I need to check and see if it got returned.....

Looks like it went to tivotiger.... 6:40am 9/9/16 Check your spam folder?

The watch ESPN via Sling may be the best option. I wish they had a sports package for around 10-15 a month and you could get all the ESPN channels plus SECN but that would make thing way too affordable.

From the above responses it looks like I may need to subscribe to Sling TV and then get Watch ESPN.
I think that sounds right.

Thanks for the input guys. Today most SEC teams are playing cream-puffs. Sorry Saban I didn't mean to disrespect the next team.

XBOX here, no PS4/3... I just prefer vue's selection and reliability.

I did a 7 day free trial with Sling TV. I get some ESPN without signing up for Watch ESPN.

I don't care about any had held devices. Just TV, so I'll try the Sling for a week and if it proves reliable that's probably the way I'll go.

I really appreciate the feedback everyone has provided.

Thanks very much.
